John Beck represents developers, contractors, and real estate professionals in all aspects of development and real estate law.  Attorney Beck has represented accredited investors, and other principals in connection with real estate investments, including the organization, syndication, operation, refinancing, and sale of various types of real estate projects. He has extensive experience in advising clients regarding multifamily properties (both conventionally financed and government-assisted), mixed-use retail and residential projects, entrepreneurs and closely held businesses, including mergers, acquisitions, dispositions and transitions.  He has counseled them regarding the structuring and financing of joint ventures, limited liability companies, partnerships, and corporations. John has worked extensively with rent subsidy and subsidized loans under the Sections 8, 221(d)(3), 221(d)(4), and 223(f) programs including the syndication and resyndication of such developments, as well as Internal Revenue Code Section 42 low-income housing  tax credit transactions involving both preservation projects and new construction, and is experienced in representing both developers and investors.  

John is also involved in estate planning and business succession matters.

John was awarded the Bobbs-Merrill Award for Outstanding Achievement from the University of Connecticut Law School.
