Jay Siegel was Co-Editor of "The Developing Labor Law: The Board, The Courts and the National Labor Relations Act," Bureau of National Affairs, 1971. He was a columnist: Employment Law, National Law Journal, 1978-82. He was the author of "Deferral to Arbitration Awards in Title VII Actions," Labor Law Journal, July, 1974; "Employers Evidentiary Burden in Suits under Title VII," Federal Bar Journal, September, 1981; "Is There a Need to Amend the National Labor Relations Act," Fordham Law Review, May, 1984. He was also the co-author of the Connecticut Bar Journal, "Annual Law Survey Articles on Labor Relations and Employment Law Developments in Connecticut," 1984-88. He was Senior Topical Editor, Labor and Employment Law, Connecticut Bar Journal, 1985-89.

Jay was Chairman of the Labor Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association (1961-63) and Chairman of the Labor and Employment Law Section (1977-78) and Delegate, House of Delegates of the American Bar Association (1980-81).

Jay is admitted to bars in New York, 1955; Connecticut, 1956; U.S. District Court of Connecticut, 1958; U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court, 1959; U.S. Court of Appeals, First Circuit, 1967; District of Columbia and U.S. Court of Appeals, District of Columbia Circuit, 1971.
